The department may consult with a technical review committee, which may include governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, industry professionals, and communities, regarding pilot projects, revisions to technical specifications and construction standards, or innovative application of wastewater treatment technology. The purpose of the technical review committee is to obtain recommendations and expertise on the installation, use, and management of wastewater systems.
