(a) The amount of a grant will not exceed $15,000. The department will, in its discretion, waive this limit only if
- (1) the total eligible grant requests received by the department do not exceed existing money available for grants under this chapter; or
- (2) the department determines that program goals to reduce littering and increase resources recovered in the state will be best met by awarding a grant in excess of $15,000 to a specific project.
- (b) The department will, in its discretion, attach other terms and conditions to each grant offer as necessary to ensure compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
