- (a) To request that the department provide services at an airport outside of that airport's normal operating hours, an air carrier must submit the request to the airport manager or designee, in writing on a form supplied by the department, at least 24 hours before the requested service. The department will grant a request only if personnel and resources are available. The department may grant a request made with less than 24 hours' notice; however, late notice may hinder the department's ability to provide service.
- (b) For requests the department meets by extending work hours for on-duty employees, the air carrier will be billed in full hour increments at the rate of $250 per hour for each employee.
- (c) For requests the department meets by issuing a call-out to employees during their off-duty hours, the air carrier will be billed $1,000 for each employee; any time worked by called-out employees in excess of four hours will be billed in full hour increments at the rate of $250 per hour for each employee.
- (d) If an air carrier amends a landing permit to delay the air carrier's operation 15 minutes or more past the airport's normal operating hours, a charge of $250 per hour will be billed to the air carrier.
- (e) Repealed 7/16/2020.
- (f) If two or more air carriers request services under this section that overlap for some period of time at the same airport, the department will make reasonable efforts to offer cost sharing.
(g) The following aircraft are exempt from the charges in (b) - (e) of this section:
- (1) aircraft operating outside of an airport's normal operating hours that do not require services from the department;
- (2) aircraft owned or operated by the state or the United States government;
- (3) aircraft on emergency medical transportation flights.
