The scientific director must approve a type of breath test instrument for use in ascertaining the alcohol content of a breath sample by chemical analysis of the breath. The scientific director will maintain a list of the individual instruments of that type which have been certified under 13 AAC 63.100 as operating within acceptable limits established by the scientific director.
