To establish eligibility as an "honorably retired peace officer of this state" for the purposes of AS 18.65.700(e), the applicant must provide

1. (1) evidence satisfactory to the department to show

   1. (A) employment as a peace officer with a law enforcement agency in this state

      1. (i) for two or more years before terminating employment as a peace officer; and
      2. (ii) within the one year before application for a permit under this chapter; and
   2. (B) the person did not terminate employment as a peace officer in lieu of firing, suspension, or other involuntary separation or employee discipline; and
2. (2) repealed 5/8/2002.
