1. (a) All drugs prescribed and dispensed by a veterinarian for patient treatment must be labeled at the time of dispensing.

2. (b) The prescription label, or unit dosage package, must contain

   1. (1) name of the owner of the patient;
   2. (2) name of the prescribing veterinarian;
   3. (3) name of the drug;
   4. (4) strength and quantity of the drug;
   5. (5) date dispensed;
   6. (6) name and address of the veterinary facility dispensing the drug; and
   7. (7) directions for the owner administering the drug to the patient.
