Performance of independent medical evaluations

Except as provided in AS 08.64.370, a physician who comes to this state for the purpose of performing an independent medical evaluation that involves a face-to-face physical examination, regardless of the purpose of the evaluation, is practicing medicine and is required to be licensed in this state.
