1. (a) An applicant for registration as a professional engineer by examination or comity who has not passed the fundamentals of engineering examination need not take that examination if satisfactory evidence, as verified by registered engineers, is submitted to the board documenting that applicant has at least 20 years of professional engineering experience.
2. (b) An applicant for registration as a professional engineer by examination or comity who is currently registered as a professional engineer in a province or territory of Canada is not required to demonstrate having passed the fundamentals of engineering examination.
