To be eligible to practice teletherapy with clients physically present in this state, an individual must

1. (1) be licensed in good standing under AS 08.63.100 as a marital and family therapist or AS 08.63.110 as a marital and family therapy associate; and

2. (2) complete initial training in the following topics regarding teletherapy, totaling a minimum of four hours:

   1. (A) appropriateness of teletherapy;
   2. (B) teletherapy theory and practice;
   3. (C) modes of teletherapy delivery;
   4. (D) legal and ethical issues;
   5. (E) handling online emergencies;
   6. (F) best practices and informed consent.
