1. (a) For the purposes of AS 08.95.100(a)(2), "student in a social work program approved by the board" includes

   1. (1) a student enrolled in a social work degree program at a college or university approved by the board; and
   2. (2) an "intern in a social work program" as defined in 12 AAC 18.120.
2. (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, an intern in a social work program is not a student in a social work program approved by the board under this section if more than 10 years have passed since the person first became an intern in a social work program.
