In addition to the practices permitted in 12 AAC 14.560, in an emergency a certified direct-entry midwife who has documented training and skills demonstrating competence as set out in 12 AAC 14.560 may attend or deliver a woman whose condition is outside the scope of practice under 12 AAC 14.500.
