(a) To qualify for a license as a referee of a professional or club boxing contest, an applicant must
- (1) submit an application on a form provided by the commission and pay the required fee;
- (2) be at least 21 years of age;
- (3) have at least one year's experience in either amateur or professional boxing as a referee or judge;
- (4) submit verifications from three persons of the applicant's proficiency as a referee or judge; and
- (5) submit proof of having satisfactorily completed a physical examination within the 30 days before the initial application or renewal date.
- (b) The commission will, in its discretion, waive the requirements of (a)(3) of this section for an applicant for a club boxing referee license.
