A purchaser of timber under this chapter must cut stumps in a manner which minimizes waste and does not exceed the maximum height set by the timber sale contract. Stumps which are not cut as specified in the purchaser's contract must be paid for by the purchaser at the rate set in the contract for fixed and liquidated damages.
