Alaska Admin. Code tit. 11, § 40.010 – Purpose

(a) Industrial hemp, including a product derived from industrial hemp, is an agricultural crop subject to regulation by the division.
(b) The purposes of this chapter are to
1. (1) promote the research of and study methods for the growth, cultivation, and marketing of industrial hemp; and
2. (2) regulate the production of industrial hemp and industrial hemp products consistent with public health and safety.
