Durstine being the manager for Iowa, we are to presume that the manner of doing the business in the countersigning of papers was regular and authorized. In fact, its. receipts for premiums, sent ffrom the New York office, signed by its secretary, had printed thereon the words “countersigned by,” and on the receipt to plaintiff, for the premium for 1892, following these words, is a stamp impression, “Lee B. Durstine, Manager for Iowa, Des Moines.”
