OVERTON, Justice.

We quash the decision of the district court in Williams v. State, 591 So. 2d 948" court="Fla. Dist. Ct. App." date_filed="1992-01-15" href="https://app.midpage.ai/document/williams-v-state-1148633?utm_source=webapp" opinion_id="1148633">591 So.2d 948 (Fla. 1st DCA 1991), on the authority of State v. Barnes, 595 So. 2d 22" court="Fla." date_filed="1992-02-20" href="https://app.midpage.ai/document/state-v-barnes-1769550?utm_source=webapp" opinion_id="1769550">595 So.2d 22 (Fla.1992),1 and remand for further proceedings consistent with our decision in Barnes.

It is so ordered.

. The 1989 amendment to section 775.-084(l)(a)l, Florida Statutes (Supp.1988), did not change the plain meaning of the statute.
