MEMORANDUM**

The district court had jurisdiction to enter a stay of execution on the basis of Thompson‘s request for appointment of counsel. Brown v. Vasquez, No. 90-56127 (9th Cir. Feb. 19, ‍‌‌‌‌‌​‌​​​‌‌‌​​‌‌​​‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​​​‌​‌​‌​‌‌​‌​‌‌​‌​​‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​​‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌​‌‌​‌‌​‌‍1992).
