Docket

*1 Before SMITH, BOWMAN, and BENTON, Circuit Judges.

____________

PER CURIAM.

*2 Rickey Holtsclaw appeals after the District Court dismissed his pro se 42 [1] U.S.C. § 1983 complaint alleging violations of his right to equal protection of the law under the Fourteenth Amendment. After de novo review, we see no reason to reverse the dismissal order because Holtsclaw failed to state an equal-protection claim. See Phillips v. Norris, 320 F.3d 844, 848 (8th Cir. 2003) (concluding that an equal protection failed where the plaintiff did not allege membership in a protected class or purposeful discrimination). Accordingly, we affirm. See 8th Cir. R. 47B.
