People v. KaurPeople v. Kaur
—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Dufficy, J.), rendered April 21, 1988, convicting him of robbery in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.
Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.
The defendant contends that he was excluded from a material stage of the trial when both counsel exercised their peremptory challenges and challenges for cause at a side-bar conference in the absence of the defendant. We have examined the defendant’s remaining contentions and find them to be without merit. Lawrence, J. P., Copertino, Altman and Goldstein, JJ., concur.
