Adhering to our views that the death penalty is ‍‌‌​​‌​​‌‌​​​​​‌‌​​​‌‌​​‌​​‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​‌‌​​‌‌​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​​‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌​​‌‌​​​​​​‌‌​‌​​‌‌‌​‌​​​‌‌​​​​‌‌‍in all circumstances cruel and unusual punishment prohibited by the Eighth and ‍‌‌​​‌​​‌‌​​​​​‌‌​​​‌‌​​‌​​‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​‌‌​​‌‌​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​​‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌​​‌‌​​​​​​‌‌​‌​​‌‌‌​‌​​​‌‌​​​​‌‌‍Fourteenth Amendments, Gregg v. Georgia, 428 U.
