The note in suit was given by the plaintiff to the defendant on the twenty-seventh day of February, 1896, for one thousand one hundred and seventy-five dollars. The sum of four hundred and six dollars and sixty-five cents was paid thereon September 8, 1896. The plaintiff demands judgment for the amount of the note, after deducting therefrom the payment made.
