In an action to recover damages for medical malpractice, etc., the defendants appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Lockman, J.), dated April 25, 1995, which denied their motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint.
Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law, with costs, the motion is granted, and the complaint is dismissed.
In moving for summary judgment dismissing the complaint, the defendants submitted expert medical opinion alleging, among other things, that the care and treatment rendered to the plaintiff Henri LaMarque was in accordance with good medical and psychiatric practice and that this plaintiff was properly evaluated and admitted, albeit involuntarily, at the defendant hospital. Contrary to the Supreme Court’s finding, this evidence was sufficient to establish a prima facie showing of the defendants’ entitlement to judgment as a matter of law (see, Alvarez v Prospect Hosp.,
