The plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendants, D. 0. Barrows and Mosely Chase, as partners; from December 2, 1881, to September 22, 1882, for which there has become due him the sum of $173.33; and, also, that he sold and delivered to the defendants two horses, at the agreed price of $100 each. The defendants denied the allegations of the petition, and the defendant Barrows filed a counter-claim for board of the plaintiff and his horses.
It is insisted by the defendants that the verdict was the
