The anomalous condition of this record is explained, in part at least, by the manner in which the trial was condfacted by counsel, its duration of several weeks, and the 81 instructions asked by the defendants. We do not think, however, that it can he said from this record that the jury had a clear and correct understanding of the questions to ho passed upon, and, to the end that a full and fair trial may he had, we conclude that for the errors pointed out the judgment of the district court should he reversed.
