Robert Tharpe by his next friend brought an action against the City Council of Augusta, to recover damages for personal injuries alleged to have been sustained by him by reason of defendant’s negligence, in the following manner: On December 28, 1898, while on one of the streets of the City of Augusta, he had occasion to cross the street, as he had a right to do; and0while doing so he ran against a wire, projecting from which were many sharp and dangerous points similar to a barbed wire, which defendant had, for many months prior to this time, allowed to remain stretched along the edge of the sidewalk. We find no error in the grounds of the motion not specifically dealt with; and, there being sufficient evidence to sustain the verdict, the judgment below is
