There is no provision ‍‌​​‌‌​​‌‌‌‌​​​‌‌​​​‌‌​​​​‌​​‌​​​​‌​‌‌​‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌​​‌‌​​​‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌​​‌​​‌​‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​‌​‌‌​​​‌‌‌‍in Georgia Law which allows a defendant in a ‍‌​​‌‌​​‌‌‌‌​​​‌‌​​​‌‌​​​​‌​​‌​​​​‌​‌‌​‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌​​‌‌​​​‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌​​‌​​‌​‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​‌​‌‌​​​‌‌‌‍criminal case to move for a directed verdict prior ‍‌​​‌‌​​‌‌‌‌​​​‌‌​​​‌‌​​​​‌​​‌​​​​‌​‌‌​‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌​​‌‌​​​‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌​​‌​​‌​‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​‌​‌‌​​​‌‌‌‍to the trial of the case.
