Adhering to our ‍‌‌‌​‌​‌​‌‌​​​​​‌​‌‌​​​​​​‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​‌‌‌​‌‌​​​‌​​‌‌‌​‌‌​​​‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌‌​​​​​​​‌‌‌‌‌​‍views that the death penalty is in all circumstances cruel and ‍‌‌‌​‌​‌​‌‌​​​​​‌​‌‌​​​​​​‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​‌‌‌​‌‌​​​‌​​‌‌‌​‌‌​​​‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌‌​​​​​​​‌‌‌‌‌​‍unusual punishment prohibited by the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments, Gregg v.
