Adhering ‍‌​‌‌​‌​‌‌‌​​​​​​‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​‌​‌​‌​‌‌‌‌​​​​‌‌‌‌​‌​‌​​​​‌​‌​​​​‌‌‌​‌​‌‌‌‌‌​​‌​​‌‌‍to our views that the death penalty is in all circumstances cruel ‍‌​‌‌​‌​‌‌‌​​​​​​‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​‌​‌​‌​‌‌‌‌​​​​‌‌‌‌​‌​‌​​​​‌​‌​​​​‌‌‌​‌​‌‌‌‌‌​​‌​​‌‌‍and unusual punishment prohibited by the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments, Gregg v.
