The plaintiff commenced an action against the defendants to recover a judgment for the balance due on a promissory note. The defendants answered and also filed a cross-complaint. The plaintiff answered the cross-complaint and after a trial before the court sitting without a jury the court made findings in favor of the plaintiff and from the judgment entered thereon the defendants have appealed.
The defendants contend that the judgment should be reversed because their demand for a, jury trial was denied. They assert that their constitutional rights have been taken from them. (Const., art. I, sec. 7.) The point is based
