Commodity Futures Trading Commission v. Inyangudo, 1:21-cv-11615

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) brought an action against Tochukwu Edeh and others, alleging a coordinated scheme involving fraudulent solicitation and misappropriation of customer funds for supposed Forex and Bitcoin trading.
The fraudulent scheme operated through the website primefx.org ("Prime FX"), which used false claims of regulation and physical offices to lure customers internationally and within the United States.
From June 2016 to February 2019, Prime FX allegedly misappropriated over $1.2 million from at least 106 customers, using misrepresented trading records and fabricated communications.
T. Edeh received over $211,000 in customer funds directly or indirectly through accounts associated with other defendants and did not use the funds for authorized trading activities.
The court entered default judgment against T. Edeh after he failed to respond to the complaint and found the allegations to be established as a matter of law.
The judgment includes a permanent injunction, restitution of $211,890, and a civil monetary penalty of $429,028.
